Havird Oil Co. was established in 1959 by Paul and Janelle Havird. Palmetto Propane, Inc. was established in 1964 to provide ice, propane gas, gas equipment and outdoor cooking equipment to the Midlands of South Carolina. Serving our customers for over 50 years, we are a family-owned gas specialty store. We have found offering quality and service paramount to our success.

Paul Havird, Sr. and his wife Janelle opened a full service branded Shell station and started Havird Oil Company.
Palmetto Propane was formed, a branded Texaco fuel and propane dealer.
Frank Havird opened the Lexington Palmetto Propane & Ice, adding an ice plant as well as another retail location.
Eddie Havird opened Palmetto Propane West Columbia.
Palmetto Propane acquired Blease Propane in Saluda, South Carolina.
Palmetto Propane acquired Lakeland Propane in McCormick, South Carolina.
Palmetto Propane and Havird Oil merged to form Palmetto Propane, Fuels, & Ice.
