Vent Free Gas Logs

Vent Free Gas Logs, or Ventless Logs burner, come in Natural gas or Propane (LP). Since the flue is closed with vent free logs, a 99% efficiency rating is given from the 30,000-40,000 BTU’s these logs release. Years ago, Vent Free Gas Logs were not as popular because of problems related to emissions and pollutants. Today, Vent Free Log sets are designed to burn extremely efficiently and pollutants have been essentially eliminated. The vent-free burner includes an integrated oxygen depletion sensor (OSD) to instantly shut off the system before room oxygen levels drop to unsafe levels. Vent free logs can be used in an existing masonry fireplace or in a vent free designed firebox. Since no electricity is required, vent free logs are a great source of heat during power outages.

**Vent free logs typically come in sizes of 18”, 24” and 30”. Other sizes may be available on specific logs.

Manual control (3 position knob)
Millivolt/Remote Ready (works with wall thermostats, a remote control or a combination thermostat/remote. Works once you’ve manually lit the pilot light)
Variable Remote (allows you to turn the burner on or off and also adjust the flame height to maintain room temperature from your remote. *Only available on select logs).

		Mojo Vent Free Logs Monessen’s 27” vent free gas logs with up to 38,000 BTU output. Mojos come standard with grate and 13” andirons. Includes: volcanic rock, rock wool and flickering embers. Hi/Lo thermostatic remote control comes standard. Heat up to 1300 sq. ft
		Charred Timber Monessen’s Charred Timber fiber ceramic vent free logs feature a Triple Play Burner System which gives a triple effect of producing dancing yellow flames, full depth glowing embers and glowing ceramic logs. Logs come in sizes 18”-30”.
		Berkley Oak Monessen’s Berkley Oak vent free logs are a very popular seller. They are available in refractory cement or ceramic fiber models. Up to 37,000 BTU (NG); 36,000 BTU (LP). Cast iron grate, volcanic rock, ember bed and rock wool included.
		Flint Hill Empire’s Flint Hill vent free logs are hand painted ceramic fiber logs. This is a competitively priced log/burner combo that only requires a minimum back depth of 12”. Flint Hills are an ideal all around log set for existing fireboxes and fireplaces and also come in a 10,000 BTU, 5 log set for bedroom applications. Available in manual, thermostat or remote ready control. Available 18”, 5 log set - 28,000 BTU 24”, 5 log set - 34,000 BTU 30”, 7 log set - 40,000 BTU

Vented / Vent Free Gas Logs

Empire created the White Mountain Hearth collection to give you more selection options in a gas log set. Vented burners operate at a higher BTU than vent free. Vented burners do not have an ODS (oxygen depletion system) and are certified for using only in a vented firebox or masonry fireplace with the flue in a fully open position. Vent free burners DO feature the ODS and require a vent free designed firebox/fireplace. Vent free logs release 99% of heat into the room, where vented logs have the flue fully open and do not produce as much heat as vent free logs.

Empire’s Vented/Vent free logs come in LP or NG, in 18”, 24” and 30” sets. Available options of: On/Off Remote, On/Off Thermostat remote or Variable Remote (turns burner on or off and lets you adjust flame height to maintain a comfortable temperature.)

Sassafras

Empire’s Sassafras log set features a slope glaze burner system that takes comfort to the next level by adding more flames and more logs. The controls have also been concealed on this set for more appeal. The Sassafras log consists of 6 refractory logs that are hand-painted with lifelike details.

Super Sassafras

Empire’s Super Sassafras features a refractory 7 piece log set and slope glaze burner. This set is similar to the Sassafras but consists of bigger logs and more log pieces. Ideal for large, masonry fireplaces, these logs are also hand-painted with lifelike details.

Ponderosa

The Empire Ponderosa gas logs are a 13 refractory log set that are detailed to mimic ponderosa pine. This set is created with a nice high stack of logs that will really fill out your fireplace. The controls on this burner are nicely concealed to maintain a natural look with a slope glaze burner.

Vented Gas Logs

Vented Gas Logs operate with a higher BTU load (40,000-125,000). They must operate in a vented fireplace with the flue fully open. A majority of the heat will travel up the flue and out of the house, with only a small percentage left to heat the room. Vented log burners are designed to create a dancing yellow flame that gives the log set a more realistic fire look than vent free logs. They are designed for customers who desire a large visual appeal from their logs and are considered to be more of a decorative appliance.

	The Classic Series The Classic Series is the entry level to Peterson’s Vented gas logs. They portray more of the simple rugged look with realistic bark and wood color.
		Rugged Oak The ruggedly handsome Rugged Oak log set is a traditional set under The Classic Series. This log set has an alternative stacking feature that allows you to reverse each log to give a totally different look. Available in 18” – 30”.
		Coastal Driftwood Peterson’s Coastal Driftwood logs are designed to look like the twisted driftwood straight off the beach. Holes in the top logs allow flame to come through in a natural manner. Available in 18” – 36”
	The Designer Series The Designer Series has the same rugged look as The Classic Series but with more natural color and bark details. A much more realistic look is given from the ends of the logs and the split pieces that are different colors than the bark.
		American Oak The Real Fyre American Oak logs are handcrafted with a special technique to give these logs a more aged look. The realistic look comes from a combination of dark bark coloration and light oak on the ends where the bark has been chipped off. Available in 18” - 30”.
		Split Oak Peterson’s Split Oak (S Series) vented gas logs feature two-tone log coloration, providing a more natural wood appearance. One front piece log with several smaller logs to stack on top gives the Split Oaks a similar wood stacking appearance. Available in 18” – 30”.
	The Charred Series The Designer Series has the same rugged look as The Classic Series but with more natural color and bark details. A much more realistic look is given from the ends of the logs and the split pieces that are different colors than the bark.
		Charred Oak Real Fyre brings the Charred Oak (CHD Series) vented logs and preserves the natural look of a wood burning fire. The large flames and embers are highlighted by the burn through the front log. Suggested with use of the G45 burner system because it looks better. Available in sizes 16” – 30”.
		Charred Northern Oak Charred Northern Oak logs entail hand painted logs with a texture and natural oak log shape that mimic nature’s design. The center of the front log is burned along with areas on the top logs are darkened and charred to show a maturing fire.

Multi-Sided Logs

Multi-Sided logs are designed for See-Thru, Peninsula or Corner Fireboxes.

Natural Blaze See-Thru

Monessen’s Natural Blaze See-Thru vent free logs produce dancing yellow dancing flames and ember bed. Natural Blaze is available in a 27” log size only and produce a BTU ranging 26,000 BTU and up to 39,000 BTUs.

Rock Creek Multi-Sided

Empire’s Rock Creek multi-sided logs feature hand painted refractory logs stacked to compliment the Slope Glaze Vista Burner. Rock Creek logs output 36,000 – 40,000 BTU ratings. Available sizes: 18”, 24” or 30”.

Mantle Units

We carry a wide variety of wall and corner mantle units in various unfinished or finished stains. Mantle units come in 26” single burner, 26” Dual Burner, 32” Classic Hearth and 36” Classic Pro. Fireplace and Mantle units available in other various sizes and finishes.


		Mini Classic Vantage Hearth’s Mini Classic is a 21” small 10,000 BTU, remote ready fireplace unit. It is ideal for bedroom or smaller room applications. It’s designed with an attractive red ceramic fiber liner and arched screen come standard on the unit. It is 99% efficient and zero clearance construction.
	ProCom Vent Free Fireplaces ProCom’s Vent Free Fireplaces are newly designed as a 4-in-1 unit. This allows you the option to place your unit as a straight mantel, or corner mantel unit, and the option to use natural gas or propane. These units come pre assembled for easy installation. Equipped with thermostatic control with variable heat settings and all while giving 99% efficiency. Optional blower system available. Oxygen Depletion System (ODS) with automatic shut off, internal, included.
