Muscular Dystrophy Association

Palmetto Propane and Havird Oil sponsored their 12th Annual MDA Golf Tournament on April 25th at the Ponderosa Country Club of Batesburg. On September 7th, Labor Day, our very own Kathryn Miller presented our check for $6,700 on the Jerry Lewis MDA telethon! This money was the combined efforts of selling shamrocks and our golf tournament. Thank you to all our employees, venders and friends for supporting this worthwhile charity.

Adopt A Highway

Havird Oil and Palmetto Propane continue to participate in the Keep the Midlands Beautiful Adopt A Highway campaign. We have been cleaning the Gilbert stretch of #1 highway for many years. Thank you to all the committed employees for helping with this project.

American Breast Cancer Foundation

Palmetto Propane is “on a roll” when it comes to raising awareness about cancer, and raising funds for the American Breast Cancer Foundation. Our 3,200-gallon propane bubble gum pink delivery truck will bring attention to the issue of breast cancer. The truck lovingly named, “Ms. Kat”, in honor of Kathryn Miller, who just retired from Palmetto Propane and Havird Oil after over 25 years of employment. For Kathryn, a cancer survivor, and all the other women affected by this disease, Palmetto Propane made the decision to donate a to the American Breast Cancer Foundation for breast cancer research. We look forward to seeing our “Ms. Kat” on a roll around and in your community.
